We finally got a snow day. When I woke up this morning and looked out the window, I just knew I would have to go in but when I turned my work phone on and got the text that the office would be closed, I had to read it at least three time for it to be reality. I had two friends last night rubbing it in of how they were off until at least Wednesday and I didn't know if I was off tomorrow.
Okay, we are supposedly in a "blizzard". Well, I'm no expert nor did I really pay attention much in science class but I think this might be a case of some good ole snow fall. I've never been in a blizzard, so my only example would be what I see on TV and this is nothing compared to what I've seen. It all a hype. Now, I did hear one of the anchors at noon say, briefly I might add, we are not in a blizzard but we are close. Then they went to commercial. I think he must have gotten a talking too because when they came back he was singing a different tune. Of course the news station is covering a blizzard. Love it! No matter what you call it or what language you speak, SNOW DAY is universal.
Here is the view from my balcony...the frozen lake view to your left and the entrance into the complex to your right.
See my boots! They keep my feet nice and toasty and they are vey stylish but no traction at all.
This is the front of my building. Okay, do you see those empty car ports. Well the red car is the only one that is suppose to be part there. Shhh, don't tell anyone but I was going to park in one of them last night because I'm frankly tired of digging my car out of the parking spot. I just knew I was going to have to go to work today and we were going to get off early, so I was going to park in a port when I returned but didn't have to go so I will be digging myself out when it's work time. Uggh!
When you are snowed it, a hearty bowl of anything warm, my poison is beef stew (today) always hits the spot.
Well off for a nap. My mom was suppose to fly in tomorrow but her flight was cancelled and she rescheduled to Thursday. Um, Mom, I know you are ready for a vacation but I don't know if 8 hrs is going to make a difference in this mess. I want you here with me just as bad but safety is key. Oh and I gotta clean up REAL bad.
Thank you Lord for the snow day and one more extra day to clean up this awful place. Thank you for looking out for me. Help me to use the best of this time after my nap. Love you.
