Ever since I've moved into my new place, I just have been really comfortable. When you move or make changes in your life, you have all these ideas or plans of what you want to do differently. You hope that the new place will be different or better but when a road block happens, it sometimes changes your hopes for a new beginning.
The quote by Joyce Maynard, "A good home must be made, not bought" is such a true statement. It seems like I've been trying to make my new place just that. However, with the heat, I've been so exhausted to do anything but come home and sleep. So the work in progress these past two months have been real slow.
I give thanks to God for working on my behalf. My neighbor is under eviction. Don't think I'm mean for saying this but she was a smoker and just didn't take care of her half of the duplex. It's been nice not having to inhale the smoke EVERY day. I did request that the next neighbors be non-smokers. The landlord said they weren't but does he really know? He never asked me if I smoked.
I really miss blogging as it's been my avenue to get away sometimes and I've really met some really nice people. It's been hard not following those that I have connected with but hopefully in due time, I'll get back on schedule.
I thought I would catch up on what's been going on these "few" days while I've been away from blog world.
