You know Falls coming when...

You start craving Quik trip's cappie's that you start seeing faces in the coffee beans. Do you see it?
  • You wake up in the morning and you can't get the blanket close enough to your body.
  • You are a done with your shower, you stay behind the curtains a little longer because you know when you open them what will happen.
  • You put a pair of socks in your purse "just in case" because you still want to wear your flip flops.
  • You pull out the hoodie to wear but you are still wearing shorts.
  • You start pricing fire pits for the back yard.
  • You sit outside and have thoughts about getting a blanket.
  • You start craving soups and stews! Yum, comfort food!
  • Football is on every channel! (Boomer Sooner!)
  • When you think about where the heater is in the garage, storage, or closet.
  • It's too cold to move!
What are you looking forward to this coming Fall?

Happy Fall and enjoy the weather and football.

Top Ten Tuesday-Fun ways to ignore your child or someone else's

Write a Top Ten post on your blog. It can be serious or funny, long or short but it does have to be a list of TEN. Click the button above to link up and get involved.

Although the title sounds harsh or unkind, it really does put a smile on everyone's faces.  I run a community center where I provide a summer program and after-school program.  It's usually just me and the kids I have LOVE to talk.  When it's just me and roughly 20 kids, it because a little crazy.  I try to pear them up with each other to talk but it's like they can only tell me their news.  My volunteers literally get a ear full and get trapped many times.
1. Keep saying I don't see you, I don't see you.
2. Yell, I don't hear you, I don't hear you!

3. Just plain ignore them, it works wonders.

4.  Pretend like you are playing Hide and Seek.  Hide your eyes and start counting, peek to watch them run, that's the fun part.

5.  Start signing in sign language

6.  As loud as you can, chew gum, smack and continue to blow bubbles.

7.  Act like you're on the phone.

8.  Start speaking in a different language or a made up language.

9.  Pretend like you are talking to yourself and it's a very important conversation.

 10.  My A all time favorite (I heard), Pretend like you are asleep everytime they start talking to you.  Even sleep walking works.
Have fun coming up with new ways.  I would love to hear if you have ever done this and if so, what worked.  I know, confession, confession!
